DEFINITIONS

"Advertiser" refers to any person or organisation that has a paid or free presence on this website.

"Umhlanga Coastline Bed and Breakfast Association", "Umhlanga Coastline Accommodation Association" and any variations of these mean the same thing and refer to the Umhlanga Coastline branch of the National Accommodation Association (NAA) and Kwababa.

"Incident" refers to any occurence of an event or collection of events, read within the context of the overall paragraph/clause in which it appears.

"Members" means members of the Umhlanga Coastline Bed and Breakfast Association, previously known as the Sugarcoast B&B Association.

"Member in good standing" refers to a paid-up member of the Umhlanga Coastline Accommodation Association.

"Paid advertiser" refers to any person or organisation that has a paid presence on this website.

"The provider" includes Umhlanga Coastline Accommodation Association, Adept Leisure and Web Inn, acting for and on behalf of Umhlanga Coastline Accommodation Association, and any agents, representatives or employees of any of these organisations or their affiliates.

"This website" means the website of the Umhlanga Coastline Accommodation Association.

"We" refers to the provider.

"Web page subscriber" refers to any person or organisation that hosts a webpage within this website.

"Representative of the website" and "representative of the provider" both mean the same thing in the context of this website and relate to authorised representatives.

WEB PAGES

Web pages hosted within this site are available strictly as a service to

a) paid up advertisers and

b) members of the Umhlanga Coastline Accommodation Association who are in good standing.

In the event that an advertiser or member no longer retains this status, the provider reserves the right to immediately or at any time in the future remove the related web page.

Pages removed in this way can be reinstated once the required status has been restored.

The onus for retaining the required status vests with the advertiser or member.

Web pages are done according to a set web page template, an example of which can be seen at sample page and variations can unfortunately not be entertained.

Under no circumstances will the main page logos and menu be removed on any web page hosted within this website.

If you would prefer an independent website that has none of these restrictions, Web Inn would be happy to assist you.

LISTINGS AND ADVERTISEMENTS

The placement of paid advertisements will at all times take precedence over free listings.

With the exception of banner ads, directory adverts and listings are placed according to category, then alphabetically, using standard archive and library indexing systems. We therefore do not accept names that have been specifically designed to attain higher listing status and reserve the right to accordingly alter the submitted name of any organisation that does not comply with these listing criterion.

This includes names that are preceded by numbers or any article, prepositions or other words that would not ordinarily be considered to be part of a legitimate (registered) name and/or proper nouns (eg: an, a, the, at). Where a name contains any of these, we retain the right to do the listing according to the first obvious proper noun in the name and the preceding content appended. For example, "ABC Furniture Suppliers" would be listed as "Furniture Suppliers, ABC" and would appear under the alphabetical listing of "F" rather than "A".

Businesses and members who have free listings on this website and object to this method of listing should please contact us and request removal of their listing/s on these grounds.

Paid advertisers are deemed to have read and agreed with this stipulation.

The provider reserves the right to accept or decline any advertisement, listing or web page and is under no obligation to provide reasons for doing so.

ALL CONTENT

The advertiser or web page holder is responsible for the provision of all ad copy and graphics.

Photographs must be provided at a minimum resolution of 300dpi, unless they are sized at no more than double the final graphic size.

Sizing information can be found on the detailed options page.

All graphics must be of a good quality and the provider reserves the right not to use any graphic that will not render properly on the website.

Graphics contained inside MS Word documents do not render and can normally not be used. These will normally be declined.

Graphics can be submitted via email, as long as the total size of the email does not exceed 1mb. Graphics that would cause this limit to be exceeded should be submitted via CD. Please call us to arrange.

The provider reserves the right to edit all copy to ensure that it is not offensive nor in any way undermining to the goals of this website or any community.

Editorial discretion in this regard vests entirely with the provider.

Upon receipt of all graphics and ad copy by the provider, ever effort will be made to ensure that related advertisements and web pages are posted within 5 working days.

Final payment for advertisements or web pages are due within 5 days of posting, regardless of whether the advertiser requires any further additions or ammendments.

Basic content of web pages, listings and adverts can be ammended at no extra cost, to a maximum of 3 ammendments per year.

Any changes over and above that, or major changes, are subject to billing at the per hour rate prevailing at the time.

An ammendment is deemed to be major when the desired changes affect more than 25% of the content and/or require an excess of fifteen minutes of design/development time per incident to implement.

For the period ending December 2005, the per hour rate is R200.

Prices are per annum on advertisements and listings.

No content that is considered to be of an adult nature will be accepted onto this website.

The definition of the term "adult" is strictly at the provider's discretion.

GENERAL

We do not accept any liability for advertiser claims.

Nothing contained within this website or any marketing or advertising material should be taken to constitute a guarantee, whether explicit or implied, regarding the success of any advertisement or hosted page on this website in terms of generating additional income or Business for the advertiser, whether free or paid.

Statistics of this website will be provided on request, but this is solely at the discretion of the provider. Although every effort will be made to ensure that relevant and up-to-date statistics are available at all times, the provider accepts no liability in this regard.

Once agreement has been entered into with any advertiser or web page subscriber, any additions and ammendments to these terms and conditions must be in writing and signed by both parties.

No verbal representation to the contrary of any terms contained herein will be deemed to be legally binding.

For the purpose of clarification and to accommodate growth of this website, these terms and conditions may be ammended from time to time. Paid advertisers and web page subscribers will be provided with a copy of the prevailing terms and conditions on request.
