O’ Connor Promenade
This well known and popular promenade, named after the late Councillor and mayor of Umhlanga, Ken O’ Connor, stretches from Durban View Park in the south to Breakers Resort in the north. It is used by hundreds of people daily with benches placed strategically to give uninterrupted views of the sea and distance markers for keen joggers and walkers. Parks
There are several world-class nature parks within close proximity to Umhlanga, including the botanical and Japanese Gardens in Durban North. African flowers are some of the most beautiful in the world and have been the genus of many hybrids in Europe and the USA. Our parks showcase a vast selection of our best indigenous fauna. Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Trails
A delightful trail of approximately one and a half hours begins at Breakers Resort, Lagoon Drive. Relaxing braai and picnic spots along a well-marked path make for a pleasurable, laid back outing. Contact Ms Carneige on 5611682. |
